Socially Responsible Investing
Amling Investments offers a unique portfolio of socially responsible investment options. Social responsibility is a key priority of Amling Investments and a vision we try to incorporate into all our work. We want to provide our clients with the opportunity to build their financial security while also investing in communities and causes that align with their values and mission. We would be happy to provide more details on these investment opportunities if you are interested.
Fiduciary Standard
Federal and state law requires that Registered Investment Advisors, such as Amling Investments, are held to a Fiduciary Standard. This law requires that an advisor act solely in the best interest of the client, even if that interest is in conflict with the advisor’s financial interest. Investment Advisors must disclose any conflict, or potential conflict, to the client prior to and throughout a business engagement. Investment Advisors must adopt a Code of Ethics and fully disclose how they are compensated.
Fee-Only Compensation
Fee-only investment advisors are compensated solely by fees paid by their clients and do not accept commissions or compensation from any other source. We believe that there is a significant conflict of interest if the advisor stands to gain financially from the purchase of any product he or she recommends to the client. Less than one (1) percent of all financial advisors are truly fee-only. Most brokers, investment advisors, and financial planners are compensated entirely by commissions from the providers of products recommended and sold. Most of these fees are never disclosed to the client. Others referred to as “fee-based” or “fee-offset”, charge both a fee and a commission. Amling Investments uses neither method and provides full disclosure of all compensation. Fee-only compensation is surprisingly affordable.
Bottom Line: At Amling Investments our only compensation comes directly from our clients.
- We take the time to research, analyze, and monitor the markets and individual companies for opportunities.
- We exert emotional discipline, not panicking when the market goes down or getting caught up in investment fads or bubbles.
- We are knowledgeable and experienced and use this to make smart decisions.
